Workshops

The term “up-cycle” has become a common expression among do-it-yourselfers and has become popular with the trend to live green. Up-cycling old furniture that seems useless, and may otherwise have been cast off, simply means to repurpose it into something creative and useful, thus giving unwanted furniture a second life and increasing it’s intrinsic value and appeal. This can be done by redesigning or recreating it into something else, or using it to serve a new purpose, or simply giving it a face-lift with a newly painted finish that makes it fresh and appealing again. You can learn how to transform your own furniture beautifully with a little help from any of our workshops. Not only will this save you money by not having to replace your old furniture for new, but will also keep old furniture out of the landfills.

All of our paints are environmentally friendly and safe for the environment, as well as, safe for you to paint with and have in your homes.

Pretty in Paint Workshop

Bring a small piece and make it “pretty in paint”!

Three French Hens VintageFor this class you will bring a small piece of furniture, such as an end table or side table, stool, small chair, frame, lamp, tray, cabinet door or drawer front, or anything light and without bulk that you can easily bring into the studio – For time to complete your piece and because there is limited space for everyone to work in the studio, please follow this Rule of Thumb:  MUST BE ABLE TO CARRY WITH ONE HAND!  You will then transform your piece by painting and applying a unique finish using one of our home decor, furniture paints and waxes. This would be a great class for redoing a small piece for a college student’s dorm room or college apartment. So ask a friend, a daughter, or a son to sign up with you and bring a piece to refurbish!
